Laundry Supervisor

Masonicare, in operation for over a century, is the largest not-for-profit senior focused healthcare provider in the State of Connecticut.

We currently have a need for a Laundry Supervisor at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford, an affiliate of Masonicare.

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for the management and the daily operations of department, ensuring that linens are processed in an efficient manner meeting all production and quality standards.
-Interview, hires, evaluates, disciplines and terminates personnel according to
Center policies and procedures. Provides departmental orientation for new employees and continued training of personnel until job proficiency is established and transferability among workers is achieved.
-Help foster an environment where employees are highly productive
-Ensures the safety of employee/residents and that all equipment is operating correctly.
-Maintain a high level of resident/customer satisfaction and quality standards.
-Leadership and interpersonal skills
-Good communication skills
-Knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
-Laundry department experience preferred
-Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of laundry operations, i.e. ordering supplies, responsible of supply inventory, ensuring scheduling of staff, ensure procedures are followed.
-Is responsible for the management of departmental budgets
-Lead, guide, organize, direct and control operations in accordance with policies, goals and objectives of the organization.



Hours: 5:45am-2:15pm
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 1-3 years previous experience
