Under the direction of the Housing Services (HS) Assistant Director, the Principle Administrative Analyst Supervisor has primary responsibility for the housing assignment operation, supervision of staff and workflow, analysis, and reporting functions in HS. Manage the daily operation of the Housing Assignment Office by evaluating, supervising, and training five full-time staff members in all aspects of the offer and assignment process (including customer service, room/parking assignment, housing options, transfer/appeal/cancellation procedures, and report analysis), ensuring its completion for 10,000+ academic year undergrad housing accounts, 1900+ summer contracts, and 1300+ graduate housing contracts. Analyze assignment efforts, wait lists, and residence configurations, preparing analytical reports and overviews on offers and assignment processes for Housing Administration and Business and Administrative Services senior management. Identify and implement proper occupancy controls to ensure the budgeted levels are maintained. Provide recommendations to the HS Associate Director and Assistant Director regarding Housing fees and allocation of expenses; minimize the impacts of increases on staff/students; maintain appropriate levels of controls with staff modeling tools. Perform confidential financial analyses in preparation for budgets and prepare responses to requests for information. Work with operational managers to monitor and analyze budgets for the assignment office.

The ability to work effectively with staff and maintain on-going cooperative relationships with clients is essential. Must be highly organized, deadline sensitive and an expert in multitasking. You will be interacting w/campus and UC entities to resolve housing issues and to discuss policy and procedure as related to Housing Services.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

*Demonstrated skills in supervision of staff including: organization of workflow, delegating responsibility, training, evaluating, motivating, hiring, and counseling.

*Working knowledge of computerized assignment, billing and receivable systems.
*Demonstrated working knowledge in customer service and assignment management.

*Demonstrated ability in and working knowledge of basic accounting and collection practices, principles, and terminology as they apply to cash management, audit controls, accounting, budget planning and financial reporting.

*Demonstrated skill in financial modeling and analysis for a multi-million dollar organization with multiple revenue steams and sources.

*Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and documents.

*Skill in analyzing operating procedures and recommending necessary changes consistent with accepted accounting practices.

*Skill in typing and operating a 10-key adding machine by touch is essential

*Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products and Ad hoc Report Writers (e.g. Crystal Reports Professional).

*Prefer Housing Information Systems, or Campus Systems Gold experience.

*Experience in writing routine business correspondence, operating procedures, performance evaluations and presentation materials using grammatically correct language.

*Willingness to work after normal business hours, including weekends
