Facility Resource Technician (Sunnyvale, CA)

We are currently looking for an experienced technician to work in a critical data center environment supporting a customer located in Sunnyvale, CA. The technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and response to all abnormal conditions in facilities systems for the data center and is responsible for all the electrical, mechanical, building monitoring-control and tracking of their operational characteristics.

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 7 AM to 4 PM.

Responsibilities:
•Perform routine and emergency service on state-of-the-art critical systems (e.g. HVAC systems, electrical switchgear, diesel generators, and fire alarm and suppression systems).
•Provide technical and troubleshooting support to customers with system emergencies.
•Assist in writing and researching SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures) and MOPs (Method of Operation Procedures)
•Manage projects to improve facility infrastructure and communicate progress to affected parties.
•Perform walk-throughs and perform readings on data center equipment.
•Audit customer maintenance records to schedule and dispatch service operations staff and subcontractors for scheduled customer site maintenance and emergency response.
•Interface with service management and provide a high level of service.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
•5 years of relevant experience (experience with power, electrical and mechanical equipment including generators, critical and essential PDU’s, UPS, switchgear, chillers, Air handling units, computer grade cooling systems, DC Power Systems, and building monitoring/control systems).
•Have or obtain a Universal Refrigerant Handler's certification.
•Available to work emergency service and shift work as required.
•Preferred knowledge in MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, Remedy, and WEB CENTRAL.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
•Valid driver’s license.

This is a non-exempt position.
