Facilities Supervisor

Santa Ana, CA



Responsible for handling all maintenance and custodial services including Facility and Custodial personnel. Also responsible for developing preventative maintenance programs that meet / exceed quality systems requirements. Helps to ensure systems are maintained and functional according to established GMP & ISO, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, working closely with Environmental Health and Safety.



Responsibilities:



• Ensure the timely completion of assigned projects / tasks utilizing all available resources. Effectively utilize the talents of Maintenance Mechanics in accomplishing these goals.

• Ensure the maintenance and repair of process and non-process related equipment facilitating the resources necessary to accomplish these tasks. In some cases, field fabrication / engineering required.

• Coordinates with contractors and vendors to ensure quality of work, obtaining approval for bids, monitor work progress, etc.

• Must be capable of reading blueprints / schematics.

• Ensures mechanics perform PM’s per required documentation. Ensure computer PM grogram is updated and appropriate hard files are available upon inspection.

• Must work closely with the Engineering staff to ensure equipment and systems are maintained as required.

• Must be capable of trouble-shooting computer based controls and equipment including those at the component level.

• Ensures the Custodial staff performs their duties in accordance with established documents.

• Must be a self-starter, capable of handling multiple assigned projects from start to finish.

• Identifies opportunities for improvement. Takes the initiative to correct / repair equipment with little or no prompting.

• Capable of training and providing instruction to subordinates, further developing their skills and expertise. Taking a leadership role in their development.

• Must posses in-dept working knowledge of UBC, UFC, NEC and ADA regulations / codes.

• Keep abreast of current trade technology changes, continually seeking further learning experiences.

• Active member of the ERT team.

• Follows company safety and environmental policies and procedures.

• Must be capable of operating a company vehicle having a valid drivers license, and clean DMV record.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS


• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Some college. Knowledge of medical device manufacturing and GMP requirements.

• Prefered BS degree. Formal education in facilities management, or engineering.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Supervisory skills and performance management leadership.

• PC literate.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Position requires accessibility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Preferences:

• Understanding of the refrigeration cycle, hydraulics and basic facilities systems.

• Knowledge of UBC, NEC and UFC.

• Experience in a medical manufacturing industry environment.

• Experience with Environmental Health and Safety.
