The system is also involved in cutting-edge research aimed at helping patients suffering from some of the most serious diseases and conditions, including spinal cord injuries and Alzheimer’s disease.Shift: DayCategory: Support Services/PositionsDepartment: Facilities ServicesFacility: Banner Baywood Medical CenterShift Hours: 0700 to 1530Hours Per Week: 40 Relief for 2nd and 3rd shiftOverview: Full time Days - 0700 to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday with relief responsibilities for 2nd and 3rd shift throughout the year.This position has primary responsibility for performing all assigned tasks in a professional manner as to reflect the highest integrity in keeping with the BH mission statement. Assists in maintaning and repairing all hospital and utility systems such as HVAC, steam, plumbing, light electrical, building controls, Life Safety Systems, generators, fire alarm, etc. Performs urgent corrective, routine, preventative and requisitioned maintenance as required, such as painting, landscaping, mechanical functions, etc. Inspects and tests equipment and systems in keeping with codes and manufacturers recommendations. Maintains accurate and timely records of all inspections and tests and reports quality status in the proper format. Performs manual duties as requested and assists as needed with other assigned duties. May be required to work day, evening, nights or weekends on short notice for effective operation of the facility.
