Facilities Maintenance Mechanic /Technician

Last Updated: 9/7/2006Duties and Responsibilities: JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of all utility systems, facilities, and process equipment. The incumbent shall ensure all systems are operating and maintained properly. Determines needed electrical and mechanical repairs necessary for utility systems, facilities, and process equipment through regular inspections Maintains equipment logs and completes all GMP documentation Maintains spare parts inventories for all electrical and mechanical systems Installs electrical and/or mechanical systems Monitors systems and makes any necessary adjustments or modifications Works with user groups to reduce down time of manufacturing equipment
REQUIREMENTS
Two year technical degree or equivalent experience Three to five years experience in a mechanical or electrical discipline Previous experience with digital and analog controls, removal and replacement of rotational mechanical seals, motor controls, and HVAC systems and controls Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings Knowledge of measuring equipment, power and hand tool operation, National Electric Code, and cGMP’s DEY supports diversity in the work place.
