FIRE SAFETY City of Hampton Fire Safety Program Coordinator Salary: $31,358 Full-time w/Benefits Closing: September 12, 2006 Responsible for coordinating, supervising, researching and developing of a broad scope of public information, public education, school education, public relations and general life safety programs in accordance with the Mission of the Bureau. Qualified candidates will have an Associate's Degree in Education, Public Administration, or Liberal Arts. 3 yrs. exp. in working with diverse groups and coordinating special events, programs or projects, preferably in a municipal government environment. 1 yr. of marketing experience required. Knowledge of Fire Prevention Programs and educational techniques. Must have excellent presentation and public speaking skills; be detailed-oriented; possess good organizational and follow-up skills, and have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia and have a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton criteria.
