FACILITIES MANAGER

Purpose: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the management of the tank wash facility, creating a safe and desirable work environment in order to produce and acceptable margin of profit, while excel in service quality and maintaining regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Maintain building, grounds, pumps, spinners, boilers, vats and other rack equipment. Arrange for regularly scheduled maintenance utilizing lead persons. Get quotes and approval on corrective maintenance and supervise the repair/replacement. Provide input, on an annual basis, on capital expenditure projects for the facility.


Maintain safe and environmentally correct practices and procedures by adhering to all QSI standard operating procedures. Complete and file all required reporting. Maintain waste logs, prepare drums for and complete shipments of waste off-site. Conduct annual training for tank cleaners in proper handling of waste. Prepare and submit to environmental engineering all reports or requests for information from the federal and state governmental agencies.

Provide training for all tank cleaners and office personnel at the facility. Hire, discipline, reward and terminate employees in accordance with current corporate policy. Provide input to HR on all union contract negotiations. Provide tank cleaners with daily tasks during shift turnover meetings.

Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to the QSI Safety manuals. Train all employees annually ensuring that the training is documented. Conduct daily, weekly and detailed quarterly safety audit of the facility. Conduct documented monthly safety meetings.

Assist in sales effort to increase revenues. Seek new revenue producing opportunities. Maintain tight cost control by using corporate authorized vendors, minimizing overtime, conservation of assets, and proper management techniques. This includes quality service checks and inspections.



EDICATION:

Minimum education/experience necessary to perform the job:
4 year business degree preferred
2 to 3 years experience

Minimum special knowledge and skills required:
Basic knowledge of chemistry or demonstrate the ability to grasp chemical concepts.
Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products helpful.
Good communication skills and ability to deal with people
