DIRECTOR OF FACILITY SERVICES
We are seeking an experienced Director of Facility Services to join the senior team of the Masonic Home for Adults, located in Union City, California.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Facility Administrator the Director of Facility Services plans, organizes and manages facilities, equipment, construction and all maintenance programs. The Director will be responsible for all construction, projects and procurement of equipment and related materials.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provides leadership and direction for facilities, housekeeping, and laundry staff. Insures departmental employees are trained on the safe operation of equipment and other processes and procedures. Oversees employee performance standards through regular evaluation.
* Establishes preventive maintenance and inspection schedules; maintains machine history records.
* Coordinates plant inspections with representatives of public agencies and insurance carriers. Keeps current with changes in regulatory standards and requirements.
* Establishes mechanical and electrical emergency and operating procedures for fire and other conditions of disaster; ensures appropriate tests and drills are carried out. Serves as Facility Safety Director.
* Creates/develops electrical and mechanical drawings per Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) license standards for facility construction projects.
* Contracts, coordinates, direct, and manage the work of all subcontractors.
* Prepares department budget.
* Oversees all new construction projects.

REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
* 7+ years institutional or healthcare facility management experience. 3+ years supervisory experience.
* Extensive knowledge of HVAC, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems.
* Registered or licensed engineer preferred.
* Working knowledge of OSHA, OSHPD, Title 22
* Construction experience and general knowledge of trades required.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer service orientation.
* Ability to accurately evaluate plans, invoices, proposals, technical drawings.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
