Rushford is recognized for its public education activities & is a model within the behavioral health mgt. field for its substance abuse prevention and treatment programming. Rushford has been recognized at local, state & national levels for its innovative, quality service.The Rushford commitment to providing a comprehensive continuum of care to children, adults and families in need has allowed us to grow into one of the largest behavioral healthcare providers in Connecticut. Today, we have nearly 500 employees, 11 facilities and 50 programs and services. Operating an organization of our size takes a team of dedicated professionals who understand the complexities of a highly regulated industry.Rushford has created a new position to manage many of the regulatory and operational responsibilities that are critical to our success. The new position, Vice President of Administration, will oversee Dietary Services, Facilities/Transportation, Health Information, Information Services and Quality. This individual will work in collaboration with others on the senior management team to support and enhance the quality and delivery of services and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including JCAHO and HIPAA.Vice President of Administration duties are as follows: -Responsible for operational areas that support and enhance the quality and delivery of services and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and JCAHO accreditation. -Undertakes leadership responsibilities for compliance by ensuring and monitoring a system of quality management directed at meeting, organizational quality goals and objectives, state and federal licensing requirements, corporate compliance and JCAHO standards. -Monitors and analyzes changes in state and federal regulations for their potential impact on programs and services. Develops policies and procedures in response to these changes and disseminates pertinent information to appropriate management and line staff. -Develops, implements and provides oversight for plans that address risk assessment, resource allocation, and best practices in administrative areas of responsibility, instituting consistent monitoring and controls -Oversees all facilities ensuring that appropriate procedures and plans exist that provide outstanding customer service and that maintain the upkeep of facilities. Eliminates inefficiencies and environment consistent with the highest quality of care. -Oversees transportation services ensuring that the needs of clinical services in providing transportation of clients are efficiently provided with limited risk and highly qualified drivers. -Oversees Information Systems to ensure that plans are in place and are properly executed to meet the complex needs of a large Behavioral Health Service Organization. -Works collaboratively with clinical and financial departments in procuring all necessary documentation to ensure that Lab and Pharmacy Administration follow proper directives and contractual agreements -Ensures the efficient management of Dietary Services in responding to appropriate nutritional needs of all patients and clients. -Works collaboratively with clinical services, oversees Health Information to ensure a coordinated, collaborative process for the development of policies and procedures and consistent practices in the documentation to clinical records in compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, and other regulatory authorities. -Establishes and monitors continuous improvements systems to enhance functionality in all areas/departments of responsibility based on feedback from users. -Advises the President/CEO of remedial action as necessary to comply with all regulatory and licensure requirements.Education -Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Business, Quality Engineering or related field REQUIRED -Advanced Degree in Healthcare Administration PREFERREDExperience -Minimum of 10 years management-level experience in Healthcare exp. REQUIRED.
