Vice President Quality Assurance

Our client is a rapidly-growing food processor in southern California. This is a critical management team position which is responsible for all aspects of the food quality and food safety programs. Monitors product compliance with customer specs and superior quality and reliability levels. Manages consistent product quality and safety, monitors HACCP program, control systems and ensures FDA and USDA compliance. Leads supplier quality program and supports Purchasing in vendor audits, vendor approvals and raw material compliance. Primary contact for all customer and consumer quality issues and complaints. Defines, tracks, measures product quality and reports status to executive management. Salary range is $$100-130K. Excellent benefits to include 401K, bonus opportunity and paid relocation. REQUIREMENTS
B.S. in Food Science or related field. Masters degree preferred. Must have 10+ years of Food Quality Assurance and Food Safety experience, including poultry and meat processing. The successful candidate must have extensive HACCP, FDA and USDA experience, including meat and poultry processing. Must have directed a Supplier Quality program and a QA department. Must have considerable experience working and interacting with customers on quality-related issues, excellent managerial and computer skills.
