VP of Consumer/Brand Marketing

This is an incredible opportunity for an enthusiastic, professional Marketer with experience in consumer marketing, product development and advertising to join Teleflora, the world’s largest floral wire service. This position is responsible for the product marketing, consumer advertising, consumer research and branding programs for the company. This position reports to the EVP.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the product marketing program:Develop product strategy for rollout of our year-round keepsake business.Oversee the product development process, ensuring on-time delivery of quality products that meet financial targets.Identify new product categories to pursue.Identify and acquire product licensing rights.Conduct product research with consumers and florists.Work with sales to forecast product sales and track to forecasts.Oversee P&L, ensuring product financials meet targets.
Manage the consumer advertising and promotions program:
Oversee the company’s co-op and branded advertising campaigns through print, broadcast and radio.Manage agency on creative development and media planning.Work with internal sales staff on co-op sales campaigns.Identify new promotional directions and opportunities.Develop an integrated promotional program to drive sales.Conduct competitive analysis.Manage advertising and promotional expense budget.Analyze program results and recommend enhancements.
Oversee the consumer branding initiative:
Develop strategies and tactics to establish the Teleflora consumer brand with consumers.Work closely with PR and internal groups to execute on those plans.Identify key research needs and develop programs to address them.Work with outside resources to conduct focus groups and acquire market research.Develop programs to track consumer trends in the industry.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:Undergraduate degree required. MBA preferred.Minimum of ten years experience in consumer marketing, advertising or promotions required. Experience in trend marketing preferred. Strong experience with product management and consumer advertising, plus proven experience managing direct reports and cross-functional teams and previous experience managing external vendors and agencies required.
The ideal candidate will be a strong self-starter, with strong presentation skills and analytical skills, have the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while working with with diverse personalities in an entrepreneurial environment.
