Vice President, Project OfficeIn this role, the chosen candidate will assist the Executive Vice President in managing the business of the organization, in addition to guiding all aspects of Project Office staff management, including staff development, recruiting and resolution of Human Resource issues. Responsibilities include managing financial process, including budget development, tracking and variance reporting throughout the year, managing the project inventory and charge-back system, measuring and reporting resource utilization and scheduling, monitoring and reporting contractor invoicing and billing, and defining and reporting adherence to policies and procedures. Key functions include providing centralized knowledge management tools and process, including developing and reporting adherence to project development methodologies and project documentation library, as well as managing communication forums within the Project Office and dissemination information to staff. This position manages the development and administration of training programs and career development process; manages special projects such as coordinating performance and salary administration, providing project status information to Central IT, providing specialized presentations for executive management and supporting due diligence and information gathering efforts; and coordinates IT process improvement within the Project Office and between the Project Office and other IT organizations, including providing software tools to streamline processes. The successful candidate will also be relied on to develop, report and modify as appropriate the methods and tools through which the Project Office provides services to Loan Servicing; act as an internal consultant and project management expert to project managers to continually improve processes and management practices; coordinate process improvements within and across organizations.Requirements:
BA/BS degree (Math or Computer Science preferred) or technical training equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in working directly with all levels of line staff, analysts, team leaders, and department managers in the client departments and other IT organizations in multiple sites and time zones.
Experience in interfacing with clients, business partners, and management.
Experience in providing value added consulting services to management.
Strong experience with staff development in a multicultural environment (coaching, performance evaluation, disciplinary counseling, hiring and goal setting).
Experience in team building and performance recognition leadership.
Solid JAD/meeting facilitation experience.
Extensive experience in managing client (Director, Executive Vice President, etc.) relationships.
Experience in business case development (including cost benefit analysis) and budgeting.
Experience as a participant in the strategic planning process and in making recommendations for best practices.
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
Experience in training program development and training practices.
Knowledge of and experience in full project life cycle systems development.
Strong knowledge of project management methods and practices.
Strong knowledge of systems development methods and practices.
Knowledge of AS/400, Client/Server, and Intranet/Internet systems development methods and practices preferred.
Knowledge of methods and practices in a multi-platform environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of budget development and management.
Understanding of data modeling, process modeling and database design concepts desired.
Ability to recommend best practices in budgeting.
Ability to supervise multiple teams of IT staff and interact with IT management.
Ability to work with, mentor, coach, and interact well with people from many different disciplines.

7-10 years of IT experience.
7+ years of leadership experience in managing software development projects or Project Office activities (or equivalent internal experience).
Experience managing a total scope (across all projects) of greater than 24,000 hours.
Proven leadership experience, managing a technical staff of 12+ at various levels and disciplines.
Experience in staff career development, performance evaluation and team building.
Experience managing multi-client relationships.
Strategic planning experience.
Business process re-engineering experience desired.
Hands-on experience in a technical discipline preferred.
Expertise with project management software and structured project methodology.
Expertise with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.
Successful track record of managing scope and delivering projects on time and within budget.
PMI certification is desired.
Excellent knowledge of project management trends and best practices.
Ability to adapt to dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment.
Ability to see the "big picture" and quickly learn new business procedures.
