For more information, visit http://www.genworth.com.Working in collaboration with the senior market leaders and Senior Vice President of Genworth Ventures, this individual will be responsible developing a customer insights capability across the organization. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for:
Developing a "strategic listening" process across the company (in-home or "store" observation, immersion groups, web panels, etc.) and integrating that information into the annual business planning cycle.
Developing a "weighted intent to purchase" methodology, process, and benchmarks for integration into the company's new product introduction process.
Structuring potential market and customer analysis, identifying potential data sources and/ or sub-contract firms, and completing the analysis for Growth Ventures projects.
Serving as a resource to business lines in structuring on-going and ad-hoc analysis, synthesizing data, developing actionable insights and communicating effectively to senior teams.
Partnering with Genworth Ventures leader to structure and evaluate pilots and market entry strategies.BASIC CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:10+ years of marketing experience focusing on end-consumer market research and new product/ service offerings.
3+ years experience in leading marketing teams
B.A. in Marketing or similar field.
Demonstrated experience in traditional and emerging market (e.g., web, ethnography, immersion groups, etc) research methods.
Outstanding written, verbal and presentation as demonstrated by the ability to communicate methodologies and results to multiple levels in the organization—especially most senior levels.
Demonstrated execution discipline as demonstrated by the ability to set and meet schedules/ deadlines.PREFERRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:Competency in consumer segmentation, new product/ service offering, and pilots within financial services industry (e.g., credit cards, consumer banking, or mutual fund industry).
Past experience in ethnic/ gender marketing of financial services products
Strong analytical and statistical depth with ability to structure and interpret quantitative research
Strong network of market research firms, fulfillment houses, etc. to broaden the company’s breadth and depth of research capabilities.
Broad knowledge of methodologies in packaged goods/ consumer markets with the demonstrated ability to translate approaches into financial services offerings.
