VP, Analytic Services

JOB SUMMARYEstablish analytic and content delivery capability to help Marketing, McKesson and its customers make superior marketing decisions and achieve recognized differentiation of McKesson in the marketplace. The world-class business information capability organization headed by this individual provides the data integration, analytical and content delivery support for the program and segment organizations of McKessons Pharmaceutical Group. The VP of Analytic Services will lead a team of 7 plus 2 vendors (IMS & NDC) to composite internal/external data for developing marketing analytical strategies.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOrganizational Interactions: Marketing, Finance, IT, Customer Operations, data providers, system providers
Integrate financial, customer demographics, market, operational, sales and marketing data to provide integrated perspective on customers and markets
Interpret data sets and provide data expertise to marketing and sales
Manage and extend customer and product databases and coordinate updates across the company
Provide large scale analytical support for program and segment organizations
Identify opportunities to utilize data for marketing and sales initiatives
Work with product and segment organizations to segment customer base, identify opportunities and quantify the value of customer programs to McKesson and customers
Develop analytical sales and marketing tools for field organization
Integrate analysis into promotional materials
Deliver mass-customized business content for field and customers
All other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
Education/TrainingAdvanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Operations Research or MISBusiness ExperienceMinimum of 8 years experience in data analysis, data management, and Internet Development
Demonstrated experience in bridging business analysis and technical development
Experience in business-to-business or service marketing; pharmaceutical industry experience a plus
Experience in building strategic alliances
Experience with programming capabilities e.g., SAS, Internet Tools
Demonstrated results orientation and follow-throughSpecialized Knowledge/SkillsREPORTING:
Data analysis & reporting on market share, trend projections
Informing business on forward looking decisions
Marketing and Sales campaigns in relation to competitive analysis & strategies

Administering surveys
Good technical foundation using SAS, MS Object, Visual Basic, et al.
Strong analytical skills, providing analytical leadership to assist in resolving issues
Developing and implementing vision utilizing market data customer loyalty, research, etc
Working knowledge of marketing communications, market research, segment and product marketing
Excellent analytical skills; financial acumen
Excellent project management skills
