Reports To: Operations DirectorJob Summary:It is the responsibility of the Project Executive to supervise and coordinate the project (or projects) in order to complete the work on time, within the budget, and to the quality specified, while serving as the Bovis representative on the owner-architect-construction management team. In the performance of this function, the Project Executive is responsible to protect and promote the interest of Bovis in all matters and take actions as required to satisfy responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to, those listed below.
Responsibilities:The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of personnel so classified.
Manage, oversee, and responsible for all aspects of the construction process, budgets and schedules for a project or multiple projects. Projects are typically for a single client, but may be for several small clients. Must have mastery of the following operational and project skills: project cost, schedule, contract negotiation, bidding process, change order procedure, engineering (including critical lead times), staff needs and availability, job problems and plan of action to correct, jobsite correspondence, and conducting job-related meetings.
Manage one or more projects and oversee completion of his/her job responsibilities.
Maintain ongoing communication with the owner, architect, and engineer and builds relationships with it.
Continuously cultivate and maintain positive relationships with sources for lead generations (A/E's, lenders, consultants, trade associations, etc.) and facilitate the office-wide and company-wide proactive cultivation of relationships.
Identify, interview, recruit and hire qualified staff. REQUIREMENTSPreferred four-year degree in an accredited construction-related curriculum (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) or experience equivalent to a four-year degree.
Master the skills of senior project manager and at least 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility.
Demonstrated success in managing or potential to manage: multiple projects and senior project managers, multiple client relationships, project operations without direct supervision and within company policy and practice, total profit and loss responsibility, and movement of personnel among projects and assignments.
Demonstrated success in mentoring and staff development.
