Primary Responsibilities Include:
This position is the senior most Human Resources Executive within Countrywide Bank. This role will work in conjunction with CFC's corporate human resources units to provide a stronger framework of best practices in human resources as well as bring critical strategic thinking and leadership skills to the business in the areas of human capital. This position will direct the strategic development and implementation of division-wide Human Resources programs and policies encompassing multiple aspects of human capital management including strategic planning, workforce planning and talent management, organizational development, culture and change management, talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, employee communications, human resources administration, and employee relations.
Given the company's diversification initiatives, the need for strategic thinking and effective plan execution and implementation is critical in anticipation of and in response to continued rapid growth. A confident, adaptable and forward thinking HR Executive who will take a leadership role in driving best practices while bringing an organization development focus to the company is essential.
As a key member of the Executive Team, this position will participate in the formulation of the Bank's human capital strategy and will help ensure effective execution of that strategy. These initiatives will include, but are not limited to:
Developing a strategic and long-term human capital plan for the company, in collaboration with the senior management team.
Increasing and upgrading the HR function throughout the organization in terms of implementing best practices.
Developing a deeper and more effective working relationship and synergy between the Bank HR function, the operating executives, and CFC's corporate human capital resources.
Consulting with executive management regarding both immediate and long-term critical issues and concerns; recommend specific action and/or implement solutions.
Participating in the strategic planning and budgeting process including establishing project plans, timelines, milestones, goals, objectives and project deliverables for issues that directly or indirectly impact Human Resources. Actively participating in the implementation of these plans.
Providing leadership and direction in organization development creating a company-wide process for succession planning.
Providing timely reporting and communications to business units, support departments and senior management on the progress of all HR-related projects.
Overseeing administrative functions as they apply to the division, including but not limited to, developing operating policies and procedures for talent management (recruiting, on-boarding, retention, etc.), organizational development, compensation, employee relations, performance management, and other related groups.
Hiring, training, coaching, measuring, reviewing and reporting on the performance of HR staff.
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
Undergraduate degree required.
15+ years of practical experience building and supporting a large and diverse workforce.
Advanced knowledge of multiple HR areas and disciplines and proven executive managerial and leadership skills and competencies.
Successful track record of development and implementation of HR-related programs and tools including experience managing large-scale projects impacting multiple areas.
Executive presence and the ability to lead and influence executive teams.
Proven ability to design and execute strategy.
Project and administrative management experience is a must.
An Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:
Masters of Business Administration or Juris Doctorate or Graduate degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or a related field coupled with industry certifications preferred.
Previous experience in the Financial Services industry.
