Provides UnitedHealth Group with pricing direction that will achieve the company's financial objectives and comply with applicable laws. Develops actionable, comprehensive pricing and trend recommendations to fulfill objectives of the department, division and UHG. Evaluates and uses technology to enhance operational efficiencies and group performance. Frequently interacts with senior leadership, inside and outside the organization. Manages and thoroughly monitors strategic projects that have an impact inside and outside of department. Provides technical and business guidance to staff at all levels on a regular basis. Acts as a teacher and coach on a regular basis. May assign, direct, review and prioritize work activity of staff personnel. Influences actions of peers inside and outside of department. May mentor, motivate, performance-manage, make employment and compensation decisions related to staff. Develops, or assists in developing, competent, confident and independent staff. Works within general guidelines with senior managers of other company departments


Job Requirements:

ASA or FSA required. 6+ years broad experience in Actuarial disciplines. Extensive and expert knowledge of concepts and methodologies in the health care environment. Advanced knowledge of Health Care industry and ability to apply knowledge to concrete issues and problems
