CONTROLLER / FINANCE MANAGER
Stedim Biosystems, a pioneer and world leader in sterile bag technology systems for the biopharmaceutical industry, is seeking a highly motivated, hands on, team player to join our Finance Department at our North American Manufacturing Facility in Concord, CA. Stedim Biosystems’ customers include the leading Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Animal Health companies of the world.

Position Summary: Directs financial activities of organization by applying or directing applications of principles, practices, procedures and initiatives of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.

Duties:Ensures accurate and timely preparation of all financial reports. Oversees monthly close and maintenance of the general ledger.Collaborates with Corporate finance to ensure Group financial objectives and policies are executed at the business unit. Ensures adequate internal control systems are in place and respected. Directs preparation of annual budgets and monitors compliance. Analyzes and explains variances. Works with department managers to develop and meet financial targets. Develops and maintains costing principles and systems that accurately reflect true manufacturing costs in order to maximize gross margins. Provides accurate and timely financial and cash forecasts. Directs audits and preparation of tax filings. Manages day to day activities of accounting department. Develops and mentors accounting staff. Establishes and maintains professional relations with service providers. Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
Education:Bachelors Degree in business, accounting or related discipline.
CPA license preferred.
Experience:
•5+ years accounting management experience.
•Strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
•Strong analytical, Excel and report writing skills.
•Experience working for the subsidiary of a foreign parent a plus.
•Knowledge of French a plus.
