Desktop Technicians

DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIANSMSI is seeking candidates to provide level 2 support for our clients users (hardware and software problems) in both Arlington and Carlyle. The successful candidates will:•Provide support between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 1:30pm through 10:00pm on Saturday with occasional shift adjustments as required.
•Perform to the Service Level Agreement with response and resolve times stipulated.•The technicians will handle an average of 10 tickets per day.•Tracking/troubleshooting each component and assisting personnel in replacing parts through warranty.•You may be asked to adjust schedules when staffing is limited.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Experienced Required:•4-6 years of hardware and software support experience in a multi-user environment.•Extensive knowledge of internal components and troubleshooting procedures for laptops and desktop CPUs, processors, video components, and HP printer components.•Experience repairing and troubleshooting various PC platforms operating Microsoft NT, 2000, and XP required.•Previous customer service experience and good oral and written communication skills.•Must be a team player and able to lift at least 50 pounds.•LAN and network experience is also beneficial.•Job may require traveling between campuses (Arlington, Carlyle).
•A+ and MCP technical certifications are required.•Network+, MCSE, and other technical certifications are highly desired.•Remedy experience and customer service skills training also a plus.
