Position Description: The emphasis of this position is to grow a limited base of carriers. The purpose is to cover freight on a daily basis by developing relationships with carriers in the market place and utilizing available equipment while maximizing profit margin and efficiency.

Accountabilities:
•Call regular carriers daily to capture available equipment
•Make repetitive calls to capture market capacity
•Book trucks on loads in a profitable, efficient manner
•Negotiate on a high level
•Maintain daily tracking sheets of loads booked and profit earned
•Set monthly goals, track goals and report goals to group
•Call customers on a regular basis to solicit business
•Visit customers and carriers to further develop relationships
•Perform business reviews with customers/carriers
•Take active roll in planning for branch growth and personal improvement
•Ultimately responsible to add carrier capacity to the branch and to grow business with customers

•Ability to effectively communicate at many levels
•Must be able to handle repetitive work without losing interest
•Ability to multi-task
•Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere
•Competitive attitude is a must

Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience
