Brokerage Client Service/Trading Associate
Vanguard, one of the world's leading investment management companies, has a fast-paced, high-growth position for a Brokerage Client Service/Trading Associate. In the initial phase of employment, you'll respond promptly, professionally and accurately to incoming phone calls and inquiries from existing Vanguard Brokerage Services (VBS) clients and prospects. As you master the requisite and client service skills, you will move into an Equity Trader position.
Initially you will handle a range of calls regarding opening new accounts, initiating asset transfers, web navigation, etc. You'll explain various asset-transfer methods to VBS clients, including partial transfers, the Automatic Client Account Transfer System, mutual funds, and Dividend Reimbursement Plans. You should be able to instruct clients on how to complete various forms, including new account applications, corporate resolution forms, limited trader authority, margin and option agreements, and other brokerage-related forms. As you respond to clients, you should provide accurate, complete, and value-added information. You should demonstrate high proficiency with client-relationship management skills, including professional demeanor, successful questioning, listening, positioning, and checking, during internal and external client interactions. Once you master these skills consistently, you'll assist VBS clients in executing equity order trades accurately and efficiently.
When possible, you will resolve client inquiries, or forward more complex issues to assigned individuals via the error tracking database. You'll follow up to ensure that all client-related issues are resolved in a timely manner.
You'll be expected to understand fully and adhere to Vanguard's policies, Code of Ethics, departmental and processing procedures, and legal requirements, and to maintain a broad knowledge of the securities industry related to equity trading. You'll participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
