We have an immediate opening for a Test Engineer - Automotive Diagnostic Equipment at our US-AZ-Tempe location. We have an immediate opening for an Application Test Engineer – Automotive in our Tempe, Arizona location. If you are a motivated self-starter and thrive on change and the opportunity to challenge the status quo, then we want to hear from you. Our culture demands driven, energetic, global thinkers who possess leadership qualities and the desire for aggressive personal growth.

In this position you will be responsible for working with the design teams to design functional testing for new and existing automotive electronic products, write test plans and procedures, and generate test cases to support the schedule quality requirements.

Successful candidates will possess the following:The following are required:
BS degree in Automotive Engineering or related field with 2 years or more Automotive system and/or testing experience.
Experience with daily management of the people, processes and tools needed for testing software products.
Experience in working with design teams to develop test plans, procedures and test reports for technical, development, operational and/or acceptance tests.
Experience in planning and conducting formal tests of software and automotive systems.
Basic understanding of product development cycle.
Experience in integrated application test processes.
Knowledge of fundamental automotive technologies.

The following are desired:
Experience in automotive related communication protocols (i.e. J1850, ISO9141, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Project.
Experience with ClearQuest.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of automated test procedures and processes

Abilities:
Able to manage change.
Able to supervise and monitor employee performance in accordance with SPX Performance Management policies and procedures.
Able to establish focus for the group.
Ethically protect company resources and best interest.
Ability to continuously learn and utilize new technologies.
