following skills.
Provide system-engineering expertise for the development of a military software-defined radio system and its modules. As a member of the system engineering team, work with team partners within the Integrated Product Team structure to define the system architecture and collect system requirements. Perform analyses to allocate these requirements to hardware and software sub-systems. Also, as the primary system engineer for selected modules, allocate module-level requirements to module functions and circuits, and provide the technical leadership for their development.A higher or lower grade may be established based upon qualifications and experience. ** Engineering degree, preferable BSEE, with a minimum 8-10 years of systems engineering experience. Management skills to include earned value techniques, schedule development and status, metrics tracking and analysis. Good oral, written and interpersonal skills to support appropriate interaction with internal team and teammate/customer representatives. Candidate should have experience with development in an SEI CMM or CMMI environment. Desirable experience/knowledge includes: PC applications in an MS Windows 2000/XP environment, real-time embedded programming, communications protocols, encryption, Real-time OS, Management Information Base (MIB) development and SNMP services, hardware interface programming, test techniques, OOA/OOD, C/C++, Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA), Rational tools to include Clearcase, ClearQuest, RequisitePro, Rose. Must be able to travel 20% of the time. Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen.
