Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Perform detailed mechanical designs from concept through completion and testing for various components and systems.
Function as the technical team lead for selected projects as appropriate.
Perform structural and thermal analysis of complex mechanical systems.
Compile parts lists, order components, and assist with building and testing prototypes.
Participate in system and field testing of development hardware.
Mentor less experienced mechanical engineers or designers.
Other tasks as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Minimum 4-year Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Minimum of 15 years of mechanical design experience in a similar company or environment.
Proficient in the use of Pro-E mechanical design software and with Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with various regulatory and governmental requirements for environmental testing of electro-mechanical systems.
Willing to travel occasionally in support of program field testing.
Must be a US Citizen to work for Ionatron.
