Job Description:
Develop electronic hardware for automotive embedded controls, specifically, gasoline or diesel powertrain controllers.
Cooperate with and support matrix team members to achieve project success. Report to project leader related to project issues.
Coordinate electronic development activities globally with international locations.
Report to functional supervisor on functional issues. Support review of development information with customer.
Support internal matrix organization and OEM in the development of documentation.
Verify design ideas through comprehensive design activity and reporting.
Finalize design documentation required by the quality system to document the product i.e. FMEA, performance specification, test specification.
Accurately represent product through the documentation.
Seek technical assistance from other technical staff where needed.
Initiate and maintain release/qualification status for components used in the product.
Work within the framework of the quality system to ensure thorough coverage of activities.
Follow local and global development standards.
Achieve green status for areas of responsibility at project review milestones.
Achieve proactive and timely closure of open design issues, test incidents and 8D reports.
Eliminate design error by using standardized methods and components.
Generate hardware activities plan for support of project requirements and milestones.
Plan design resources.
Submit required documentation to support project milestones.
