SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

In this position you will provide the general direction for managing a computer network or a group of networks. In this role you will typically perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to enable users to maximize productivity. Additionally, you will plan and develop network resources, and evaluate and/or recommend hardware and software purchases.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Network Engineer:
• Network Design: Designs, documents and implements LAN/WAN networks.
• Network Maintenance: Troubleshoots networks systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
• Configuration Maintenance: Performs routine configuration changes to support business functions and keeps equipment current with stable firmware.
• Capacity Planning: Performs capacity planning to anticipate network growth to maintain consistent performance.
• Maintains Network Integrity: Understands the interaction between applications and network to provide optimum performance.
• Security: Plans and implements network security, including maintaining firewalls, developing VPN, remote solutions and maintaining company security policies.
• Maintains Vendor Relationship: Manage and fosters vendor relationships for network hardware and network providers.
• Mentoring: Guides and mentors technical staff in all locations in use of LAN/WAN systems.
• Collaborates with other teams: Works closely with VSTAT administrator and other partners to provide optimum performance / reliability.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills, Educational Background and Experience Required:
• CCNP Certification required• 5 years Network Administration experience• Superior skill in Cisco IOS / Routing and switching• Knowledge in UNIX, DNS and LDAP• Use/implement tools to troubleshoot and perform capacity planning• Knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, and SNMP• Ability to diagnose network problems• Ability to maintain and implement new networking technology• Excellent written and verbal communications skillsWith Choice, you can enjoy attractive compensation and excellent benefits including 401(k) and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
