The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, growth and support of the Software Configuration Management environment for a heterogeneous product development environment and the development of tools and processes to be used therein. Additional tools support may be required to support the collection and preparation of metrics.
BS degree (preferably BSCS or BSEE) with a minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to the following minimum requirements. The applicant must have demonstrated experience and proficiency with ClearCase, ClearCase MultiSite, ClearQuest and related processes within a UNIX and windows environment. This must include but not limited too performing branching and merging, trigger creation and maintenance, importing and exporting large number of files, creating VOBs, managing MultiSite packets and managing multiple releases of multiple products across geographically dispersed locations. A detailed knowledge of Perl, Korn shell, SQL in accessing Oracle and other databases as well as process automation and tool development is required. Experience with ClearQuest schema development, Visual Basic, Perl or Java is preferred but not required. A demonstrated ability to work independently and respond to multiple and conflicting requests under tight deadlines and in a dynamic working environment is a must. Additionally, the applicant must be willing and able to take direction. The applicant must be able to effectively communicate and document ClearCase, ClearCase MultiSite, ClearQuest and other tool setup and usage guidelines, Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The applicant must have a working knowledge of Microsoft offices tools, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Exposure to backup and disaster recovery procedures is desired, as well as exposure to system management software. Knowledge and experience with additional Rational Suite tools. and integration is a plus. Knowledgeable in the development and testing of the builds and installer packaging for Windows and Solaris is a plus. A DOD Secret Clearance preferred. The applicant must be capable of obtaining a DOD Secret Clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen.
