Quality Engineer

Headquartered in San Jose, California, Sanmina-SCI is a leading EMS provider focused on delivering complete end-to-end manufacturing capabilities and highly complex solutions to technology companies around the world.The Quality Engineer will perform quality engineering functions, coordination, and measurement. The engineer will have customer interface and representation. The Quality Engineer will perform supplier interface, representation, performance measurement, and qualifications. The engineer will provide site quality operational support, measurement, audit and improvement – metrics, operational controls, reporting, and corrective actions.

Mechanical engineering degree or related field. Minimum three years experience in electronics manufacturing industry field, high volume, robotics, and mechanical assembly. Operational experience in Quality Management and Quality Controls. Experience in supplier quality management, PC, server, storage preferred. ISO standards knowledge and working experience. Six Sigma training as a minimum, certification Green/Black Belt a plus. SPC, Quality tools, Continuous improvement, Project Management. Skills: good communication; strong people skills, interface with customer, supplier, various levels of personnel within company, potentially sites outside US; self-starter, fast learner, computer skills-Windows and Microsoft Office.Job Requirements
