Project Engineer, Civil PE

Purpose: PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Project Engineer is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of projects assigned to him or her; assists to insure that the client will receive the designs and opinions described for the projects, and that the cost of projects will be within established budgets.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Determines major project design decisions in conjunction with supervisor and client.

Checks accuracy of completed work.

Assists in preparation of proposal estimates of time and expense required to complete the project.

Participate in presenting the proposal to the client.

Participates in selecting the project team.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must have a completed degree in Civil Engineering, and be registered in the state or ability to obtain within six months. Must have a minimum of five years experience since graduation in the design of public works projects.
