Nuclear Systems Engineering Manager

Provide technical support to the plant through the systems engineering program, engineering support, and reactor engineering.

Plan and manage allocations of resources for the Systems Engineering organization for effective support of outages and other special needs at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant.

Manage the Component Engineering group and the programs maintained by that group.

Provide Engineering Support for plant organizations in the resolution of technical problems.

Provide technical advice to the Plant Manager. Serve as the principal interface between the plant and project engineering.

Manage post modification testing on assigned systems. Responsible for writing, revision, and reviewing Surveillance Instructions.

Observe plant operations and activities to identify design and procedural changes for improvements that are nuclear safety related, industrial safety related, or related to efficiency or productivity.
REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline.

Should hold or have held an NRC senior operator license (SRO) or have been certified at a BWR plant.

Eight years of experience in responsible position related to power generation, of which three years must be nuclear power plant experience. During the three years, the incumbent mustl have participated in the technical or operating section activities of an operating nuclear plant during the following period: - One month operation above 20 percent power. - Routine refueling outage (one to two months). - Initial plant startup testing or post refueling outage startup testing.
