Manager, Traffic Engineering

Job Title: Manager, Traffic EngineeringResponsibilities include issuing quarterly technology trial updates, guidelines
and rules , technology briefs, assist in the development of new products and
services, technical and industry analysis, and compliance with network
engineering plans and objectives. Develop and maintain documentation as needed
and required. The position will require the management of the lab facilities.
Analyze technology trials that may occur to insure the availability of current
and future vendor equipment, costs and made recommendations that best fit the
costs and needs of the business. Assist in the execution of trials when needed.
Provides accurate information to executives and other persons within the company
with respect to future technology, based on keeping current with information
from vendors, industry publications, journals, etc. Technical analysis is
currently related to Voice, Data and Access technologies.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university with a
concentration in business, computer science, or mathematics; or six to eight
years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
Minimum 6-8 years experience in telecommunication network design and engineering
and/or experience in managing large telecommunications networks. Thorough
understanding of network design and optimization concepts. Some overnight travel
will be required. Requires the ability to handle stress and work well with
others.
A valid state driver's license is required
