GIS Specialist

Title: GIS Specialist

The GIS Specialist performs a variety of highly technical and complex duties involving designing, implementing, operating and maintaining the database to generate maps, reports and files.

Participates in product development, research and the collection of data. Uploads and downloads data from other systems and edits geographic tabular data. Converts data received from internal and external sources to make them usable in GIS. Performs analysis and manipulates database to support a variety of planning, engineering and administrative functions.

Performs quality control on data, identifies and correct errors.
Establishes positive working relationship with government officials, outside vendors and team members.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science or a progressive combination of education and experience.
Three years GIS experience working with ESRI software.
Ability to interpret and following existing GIS processes and work flows.
