GIS Engineer

L-3 Titan is seeking a GIS Engineer with at least 5 years of work experience with ESRI's GIS solutions to support a government customer in Phoenix, AZ.The successful candidate will have current intensive experience with Geospatial Information & Services solutions including managing the implementation of an enterprise GIS employing ESRI technology. The GIS Engineer must have solid working knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS client and server solutions, extensions, and the geodatabase model. Knowledge of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure & Environment (SDSFIE) and other metadata content (e.g. FGDC) and accuracy standards is also required. The Engineer will lead a small team of GIS professionals implementing GIS and GPS solutions in support of various environmental and military installation management objectives.Responsibilities include requirements definition & management, strategic planning, geospatial data development, analysis and management, customer service and training. The position will require very strong communication (written and verbal/presentation) skills and substantial client interaction.Other desired capabilities include knowledge of and experience with military geospatial data sets (e.g. NGA raster and vector products) and databases, experience with remotely sensed imagery, and previous Air Force or other military experience.Background and Experience:
Minimum required:
B.S. Degree in a Scientific or Technical discipline or equivalent work experience. Two years of experience with GIS data development and GPS data collection. Experience with operation of ESRI's ArcGIS client solutions and Trimble's GeoExplorer and 5700 PPK/RTK GPS solutions. Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Strong communication (written, verbal, public speaking) skills. Ability to obtain a US DOD SECRET security clearance.Desired:
Experience with ESRI's ArcGIS server solutions (ArcSDE, ArcIMS) Oracle database operation and administration; Previous Air Force or other military experience.ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND RETAIN A GOVERNMENT SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED.
