Field Service Engineer

Vaisala a global organization with offices in eleven countries is the recognized world leader in the development, manufacturing and marketing of measurement systems and equipment for meteorology, environmental sciences and traffic safety. Our core customer groups are meteorological organizations, research institutes, air and road traffic authorities and defense forces.
Vaisala Measurement Systems division is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join the Services team in Tucson, AZ.

As a Field Service Engineer you will support customers of Vaisala Measurement Systems both in commissioning and after sales. You act as a service contact for the Thunderstorm Systems and Thunderstorm Data customers. Moreover, your duties include technical support, HelpDesk operations and customer training. As a team member of the Services team you report directly to the Regional Service Manager in Tucson, AZ.

You will have a Bachelors Degree in engineering (or in equivalent field) or an Associates degree with a minimum of three years of working experience.

You have a basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics and telecommunication, and experience in Windows operating systems and networking. Willingness to travel on a short notice in all parts of the world is a prerequisite.

To succeed in this position, you need to be customer oriented, have good training skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. You are independent, have an active approach on learning new things and can handle several tasks simultaneously.
