Engineer

The Town of Prescott Valley in beautiful Northern Arizona is looking for an Engineer to perform the following duties: Performs reviews of engineering and planning documents (construction plans, master plans and site specific) for various public works infrastructure including water, wastewater, reclaimed water and drainage utilities. Assists in planning and scheduling future infrastructure needs for the Town. Familiarity with subdivision design and review a plus but not required.

Performs hydraulic analysis/design for sewer, water and drainage projects, and prepares cost estimates. Plans and authors pedestrian/bicycle grant applications and administers these projects through to completion. Researches and analyzes potential engineering solutions for infrastructure issues. Manages consultants performing work for the town.

Provides engineering support to field inspectors on construction projects, reviews contractor submittals, tracks construction progress and processes pay requests. Assists in the management of infrastructure as-built information: digital (GIS) and hard copy. May assist in other areas as required: budget preparation, GIS development/maintenance, engineering infrastructure records/library, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering area and possession of an Engineer-In-Training Certificate. Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license. A Town of Prescott Valley job application is required in order to be considered for this position.
