This position would be based in Huntsville, AL and assigned to existing Thermotron Customers in the area. The position would work with our corporate office to support existing electronic test equipment and support and assist in the development of new Requirements. THIS POSITION IS FOR YOU !!!!!PURPOSE OF POSITION: The incumbent in this position will support Thermotron’s assigned customers and field sales teams in the technical support of Thermotron’s electronic test equipment. The incumbent will function as a liaison between the customer and company personnel, regarding specific requirements on new applications and the support of electronic test equipment in the field. This position involves consistent and critical customer contact and courteous, efficient servicing of accounts. PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing technical support to field sales as required, assist in the field sales presentation of new product, including travel to customer locations as necessary.Design and conduct presentations at the field sales team meetings.Making sales calls within assigned Customer accountsGenerating quotes on highly complex projects, interaction with the customer may include price negotiation, or answering technical questions about the product line.Functioning as a liaison between the customer and the company personnel coordinating details of each order, estimating costs and/or customer requested changes to product after it is quoted or sold. Responsibility for receiving additional funds as required from customer to cover cost or margin profitability.Communicating with customer and Thermotron departments regarding electronic, mechanical or industrial engineering requirements for each order, as well as, providing engineering with all pertinent information regarding equipment sold.Follow-up on past orders to ensure customer confidence and satisfaction, as well as, facilitate referral sales for the future. Processing detailed “Job Lost” reports on quotes processed by self or assigned through field office.Assisting in the development of new product concepts, pricing, market strategy and sales tools. SECONDARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with customers to determine utilities available (water, power, air) to ensure that facilities are well equip for Thermotron product installation and function.Handling legal requirements of customer contracts, i.e., terms and conditions; proprietary information, etc.Conduct market surveys to identify potential new customers, new products and new applications.Telemarketing various products and product lines as requested.Making sales calls within assigned Customer accountsProducing activity reports and budgeting forecast reports to the Product Test Solution Product Management. WORK DEMANDS:
Must be willing and able to work extended workdays, flexible hours and weekends as required by business demand.Must be willing and able to operate a vehicle for travel to customer sites as required.Must be willing and able to travel by commercial air to various customer sites, including internationally.May lift up to 100lbs in equipment for demonstration or trade show materials.Willing and able to operate telephone, personal computer and other basic office equipment.Willing to travel to the corporate office in Holland, MI for extended periods of time.
