ELECTRICAL INSPECTIONS FIELD SUPERVISOR
RECRUITMENT DATES September 11, 2006 – September 22, 2006.
SALARY $53,602 - $79,914 annualized.
EXPERIENCE Four years experience inspecting and evaluating electrical installations of large or complex commercial and multi-story residential buildings to ensure compliance with approved plans, National Electrical Code and related codes and ordinances. By the end of the probationary period, you must possess the following certifications: ICC Electrical Plans Examiner (may substitute IAEI Electrical Plan Reviewer), ICC CBO Technology Examination (may substitute ICC CBO Legal/Management Examination), ICC Commercial Electrical Plans Inspector (may substitute IAEI Electrical General Plan review), and ICC Residential Electrical Inspector (may substitute IAEI Electrical One and Two-Family Dwelling). Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
DUTIES Supervises and reviews the work of the Annual Facility Program (AFP) Electrical Inspectors for quality and uniformity of inspections. Assists inspectors in resolving code interpretation differences between inspectors and builders. Serves as consultant and field expert on major electrical requirements. Answers questions and resolves issues relating to the National Electrical Code and associated rules, regulations, ordinances and standards. Acts as AFP Supervisor when assigned. Currently there is one vacancy in the Development Services Department.
ALSO REQUIRED All positions in this classification require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess an appropriate valid Arizona driver's license, possess personal insurance coverage, and have an acceptable driving record.
RESIDENCE Maricopa County residency is required within 24 months after the date of hire and must be maintained.
