DESIGN ENGINEER - Connectors

Work with our Microwave Connectors Engineering Department and exercise freedom of design with final approval from Engineering Manager.

Primary responsibilities include:

** Design of Microwave Connectors, including new product development, production and assembly tooling/fixturing and testing.
** Identify, develop and implement product improvements.
** Assist in writing process procedures
** Initiate design level ECNs
** Work within engr. guidelines regarding project timing, technical goals, etc.
** Support MPD sales dept. and its manufacturers’ field sales representatives regarding customer application problems and product design considerations.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

** Able to work independently or in a team
** 5 years as a Design Engineer in microwave connectors or similar microwave components.
** Knowledge of CAD design and MS Office software. ** Demonstrated knowledge of SQC and microwave testing.
** Understand MIL and Industry specifications
** Understand test methods applicable to design and performance of microwave connectors, the materials, finishes and environments, within which the products are used and for which they are tested.

EDUCATION: 4-year technical degree (BSME or BSEE) or equivalent experience. Trained in AutoCAD, SolidEdge 3D or similar.
