A Rogers Black Belt is a highly visible leadership development position. Black Belts lead teams responsible for measuring, analyzing, improving and controlling key processes that influence customer satisfaction and/or productivity. Black Belt projects are significant improvement opportunities for Rogers, typically returning more than $100,000 each to the business in direct savings, incremental capacity, or incremental revenue. The Black Belt acts as team leader on 2-3 projects at a time, and typically completes 4-6 projects each year. The Black Belt leads Six Sigma teams, coaches Green Belts, and serves as a role model for Six Sigma. Black Belts also serve as a change agents, internal consultants, and tool mentors. We need someone who can challenge conventional wisdom by demonstrating successful strategies in problem solving. The Black Belt also communicates project value and status to Rogers employees and assists in the identification and prioritization of improvement project opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in a technical field, plus a minimum of three years of professional level experienceDemonstrated ability to lead teams in solving significant technical projectsPrior Green Belt or Black Belt work experience, or DMAIC training with a minimum of two completed projectsAbility to travel extensively and/or be assigned temporarily to another Rogers locationNote: All finalist candidates will be required to conduct a presentation on a successful project implementation and answer questions regarding the project to a group.
