500 companies worldwideInterest Category: Craft WorkerJob Description: Install, adjust, repair and overhaul aircraft instrument, electrical, or avionics systems on aircraft. To include avionics inspectors who inspect instrument electrical and avionics systems following assembly, modification, repair or overhaul.Repair and return to service of aircraft and aircraft components in accordance with manufacturers specification, Federal Aviation Administration regulations and Army technical guidance/regulations.Coordination of equipment and personnel to facilitate maintenance on aircraft.Relocate, remove, and rewire of existing components, hardware, and wiring harnesses for installation on aircraft.Fabricate wire harnesses, mounting brackets, double plates, and aircraft skin repairs necessary for installation or removal of components on multiple aircraft airframes.Troubleshooting, evaluation, and repair of aircraft avionics communication, navigation, location. altitude, and altitude reporting systems.Ensure aircraft avionics and avionics related equipment inspection and maintenance records are originated and retained for review as needed.Ensure specific equipment and special tools are made available to accomplish the inspection, maintenance, and repair of avionics related components.Ensure technical and regulatory data is maintained.Ensure all appropriate entries have been made and/or transcribed to the aircraft log books and technical logs with respect to the avionics maintenance function and airworthiness status of the aircraft.Ensure that components, parts, and materials, utilized in maintaining aircraft contain release certification or equipment.Evaluate all avionics inspections and avionics maintenance required to correct defect and damages caused by abnormal occurrences.Perform other duties as assigned.Ability to communicate in the English language.Work unsupervised for short periods.Move objects weighing less than 50 pounds.Interpret wiring and schematic diagrams and complex technical instruction.Meet prescribed standards in inspection, diagnosis, and repair of aircraft and aircraft components.Repair related special equipment.Review or check the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards.Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.Observe or monitor objects and compares data to determine compliance with prescribed operation and safety standards.Perceive the full range of the color spectrum.Install, replace or adjust filters, light bulbs, ribbons, belts or similar objects.Perform physical inventories of equipment and supplies.Enter data into a terminal or PC.Produce written documents in English with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence construction, punctuation, and grammar.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements: Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of three years experience working as an Avionics/Electrical Aircraft Mechanic on one rotary wing aircraft: H-58D, H-64, H-60 and H-47 series aircraft.High School diploma or equivalent.Airframe or Airframe and Power Plant license or an FCC Repairman License or equivalent military training.Possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance. Candidate should be a graduate from USN/USMC Basic Electronic & Electricity Course (BE&E) and/or Avionics Electronics Tech Course (AT-AI).
