RN Utilization Admissions Coordinator

Department: Care CoordinationSchedule: Full-timeShift: Variable daysJob Details: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required. - Current WY RN license is required. - Must maintain current CPR and other specialty certifications as required per department. - 3 years of hospital experience as an RN is preferred. - Experience in Utilization review and/or quality management is preferred. - Coding experience is preferred. - Microsoft Excel and Access database knowledge and excellent organizational and communication skill is essential.The Utilization Review Coordinator serves as the patient advocate by guiding the patient through the health care system in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining a high standard of care. This position is responsible for the review of all inpatient and observation patients coming in to United Medical Center for appropriateness of admission and patient placement. This position will act as the point person for physicians to expedite patient admissions and initial orders.orders.
