National Youth Program Specialist

MADD is the premiere organization working to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. MADD is a 501(c) 3 charity with approximately 600 affiliates and 2 million members and supporters nationwide. More than 300,000 lives have been saved since MADD was founded in 1980.The MADD National office, in Irving,TX is currently seeking candidates for the position of National Youth Program Specialist.GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:•Responsible for the strategic development, implementation and management of a specific MADD youth program for use at the field and national levels.
•Design/create/distribute resource materials for a specific youth program for use by MADD chapters and the general public
•Serve as a liaison for the national/field offices and outside agencies in support of MADD’s mission to prevent underage drinking.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Develop/implement/promote/manage specific youth-targeted program(s) in support of MADD’s mission
•Assess/report program effectiveness and budgetary efficiency via regular reporting to supervisor’s and granting agencies
•Develop/implement environmental prevention projects that are consistent with MADD’s policies with regards to messaging/programming
•Provide training/technical support for specific youth-targeted program(s)
Enhance adult trainings, as needed, to build on adult learning styles.
•Develop/maintain websites for specific youth program(s)
•Work with MADD’s School Outreach Program to assist in the production of its’ multi-media school presentations and collateral materials
•Develop/maintain specific youth program materials/manuals for use at the national and local levels
•Create/maintain database of relevant research/statistics/news articles related to specific youth program
•Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
•Degree required
•Youth alcohol or drug prevention program experience required•Training experience preferred - Experience in adult learning modules.
•Excellent oral/written communication skills
•Strong time management/organizational skills•High level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products
•Ability to multi-task to coordinate projects and meet deadlines
•Travel/flexible hours required
