Marketing Coordinator

The University of Advancing Technology (UAT) is a private college for techno-geeks. UAT’s mission is to educate students in the fields of advancing technology to become innovators of the future. UAT’s campus culture is devoted to continually nurturing a community of techno-geeks—our students, faculty and staff—whose personal and professional lives revolve around technology.

At our unique, technology-infused, urban campus located in Tempe, Arizona, we have created a home for twelve hundred students who feel disenfranchised by ordinary institutions of higher learning.

UAT believes that people do not place enough emphasis on the discipline of thinking. In order to promote awareness about the importance of thinking, we incorporate multifaceted thinking disciplines across our curriculums. In addition, to honor great thinkers, we created the Leonardo da Vinci Society for the Study of Thinking.

Our Hyperlearning model—which has been adopted by over 20 colleges—evolved into Year-Round Balanced Learning, or YRBL, in 2003. YRBL blends educational “global best practices” with original research and development. YRBL foresees an evolution of student learning techniques and tools, and is designed to improve knowledge retention and deep-learning; in addition, it allows for remarkably flexible scheduling and accelerated student completion. UAT original research enables students to earn degrees in less than three years, customize their curriculum around their interests, gain a deeper understanding of technology, and apply their theoretical knowledge and practical skills to creating complex works and ideas representative of their discipline.

UAT is at the forefront of designing curricula to address contemporary and advanced technologies, which, at their time of implementation, are unique to academia.

We are currently recruiting for an Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator responsible for coordinating and collaborating with UAT’s external marketing agency.

Essential Duties
The Marketing Coordinator will have several roles:
Manage, expedite and conduct timely follow-up on the editing processes between UAT, the external marketing agency and the internal community, including but not limited to editing, proofing, and circulating materials to appropriate parties for content and copy editing
Create a sound inventory process for all publications to include re-design as well as replacement quantities
Assist with fulfillment, and to learn, as to eventually take over the processing of reports for all mailings including those of the communications plan.
The Marketing Coordinator will need to flourish in teamwork as much of the success of the job will result in coordination with on-line traffic analyst and copyeditor.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree
Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff
Ability to work productively in teams; demonstrated success with administrative, management and organizational skills
Strong working knowledge of marketing, dependable, attentive to detail

Preferred
Experience in marketing materials production
Expertise in all internet applications, especially web browsers and browser specifications
Experience with multimedia applications
Familiar with various resources to keep up to date with latest news in web design community, experience writing documentation and giving presentations.
