Sentara School of Health Professions, located in Chesapeake is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to work part time, day shifts, in their Surgical Technology program.



Responsible for classroom and clinical instruction of students to include but not limited to: planning, developing and providing creative classroom and clinical learning experiences; teaching, coaching and mentoring on the clinical unit and skills laboratory ; writing and evaluating outcome based tests and competency performance assessments related to theory; writing, observing and evaluating competency performance exams; tutoring of and practicing with students; and evaluating student performance.



Must be a current Certified Surgical Technologist with three years recent OR experience. Responsible for travel to make rounds at all clinical sites, mentoring/evaluating students and classroom plus skill lab instruction. Previous experience with clinical and/or classroom instructing is preferred. Computer skills are preferred. If interested, please apply on
