JOB SUMMARY:
Assists the Clinic NP with evaluating and treating ambulatory clients age two and older, and delivering the plan of care within InterFit Health’s scope of service protocols. Ensures patient safety and assists with patient teaching. Additionally, assist in providing health care and/or promoting health screenings and other personal health management services to shoppers at food and drug retail outlets that house a RediClinic.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The first point of contact for ambulatory clients, receives them and obtains client vital signs and records in RediRecord
Assists the NP with examinations, procedures and patient education
Administers injections including immunizations, and insures appropriate patient screenings, teaching, and observation following injection
Performs phlebotomy, ultrasound, and other procedures required for client health screenings
Collects payment for services rendered
Interacts with the company’s retail partners, including store and pharmacy managers, and in-store personnel, to maximize and optimize in-store and local marketing support
Participates in professional training and performance management
Participates in market-specific promotion programs, as well as customer research

AUTONOMY:
Assess the condition of a patient before, during and after a phlebotomy procedure

QUANTITATIVE DIMENSIONS:Taking and analyzing patients vital signs
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Degree in Health Science, Health Promotion, Health Education
•2+ years Health Promotion experience participating in health fairs administering health screenings.
•Demonstrated exceptional phlebotomy skills
•Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
•Ability to communicate effectively with retail and medical partners at various levels, clients, parents, and representatives of the community
•Knowledge of basic Medical Assisting skills and techniques.
•Knowledge of standard clinic policies and procedures.
•Ability to operate equipment including computer, centrifuge, cash register, blood pressure units, electric thermometers, osteoporosis screening unit, body fat unit, and others.
Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
