Clinical Staff Instructor-TSU

Join Our Team!Due to our tremendous growth, we are currently hiring at various locations. We have 32 medical sites located throughout the Greater Los Angeles, Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley, South Bay, Long Beach, and San Fernando Valley area.
This position is responsible for facilitating and evaluating the clinical competencies of the new on-call temporary staff (Medical Assistants and Care Team Members) as well as conducting training programs and designing appropriate curriculum and teaching materials.In addition, the Clinical Staff Instructor ' TSU will administer HCP's Preceptor Program and participate in Nursing Leadership meetings and activities.
Develop a comprehensive training program to prepare TSU MAs to work as competent CTMs (CTM l and CTM ll)
Develop teaching aids and evaluation tools for TSU MAs
Develop and manage a preceptor program for HCP's medical assistants, CTM I and CTM II
Develop training curriculum and instructional tools for preceptors
Teach preceptors adult learning principles, delegation techniques, expectations of preceptor and other required skillsProvide periodic training for the preceptors to monitor and enhance their teaching competencies
Assign TSU MA with a preceptor and monitor his/her learning progress
Develop clinical evaluation tools for on- the- job training
Develop remediation tools and programs for learning deficits identified during training
Support all clinical staff (MA, LVN, RN) with mentoring, coaching, and training as required
Identify the nurse leaders in HCP's clinical areas and design programs to enhance their skills
Develop and conduct training classes to enhance leadership and coaching skills
Facilitate network referrals to encourage nurse mentoring and coaching
Develop and conduct training programs as needed to support clinical staff
Participate in nurse leadership meetings and serve on work process improvement teams as required
Participate in career and interview fairs to assist TSU recruitment
Travel from region to region to learn the culture of HCP and conduct on-site training programs
REQUIREMENTS
Current California LVN licensure.5-7 years Licensed Vocational Nurse Experience in med / surgery, medical office practice or similar experience
Strong leadership, organizational, facilitation and communication skills
Self starter, self motivated, idependent worker, change agent
Ability to train at various levels
Excellent critical thinking skills
