Associate Director, Professional Education Accreditation

The Associate Director, Professional Education Accreditation is responsible for managing accreditation compliance for all of the American Diabetes Association professional education activities, including live programs and enduring materials. This position will monitor and modify, as necessary, existing internal accreditation compliance systems and provide ongoing training to National Office and Field Office staff to ensure activities are in full compliance with the requirements of all accrediting organizations. This position will also oversee the assessment, maintenance, and content development of the professional education webpage and web-based professional education tools.Responsibilities:Manage accreditation compliance and maintenance for all National and Field professional education programs, including, but not limited to, ACCME (physician), VNA (nurses), APMA (pharmacists), APA (podiatrists) and APA (psychologists), American dietetic Association (dietitians).
Monitor and evaluate compliance success with guidelines of all regulatory bodies on an ongoing basis and implement corrective actions as required.
Manage COI disclosure resolution process for all professional education programs.
Work with National Office and Field staff to facilitate improved needs assessment data collection and innovative evaluation methods.
Develop accreditation training materials and annually train National and Field to ensure compliance with accreditation guidelines...
Work directly with Field professional education staff on the planning and implementation of their programs to ensure accreditation compliance.
Maintain all National Office and Field Program files.
Oversee management of the content and updating of the professional education web page and web-based professional education tools.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree required.
7+ years of progressively responsible work experience. 2+ years experience in continuing medical education and familiarity with ACCME Essentials and Standards highly preferable.
Demonstrated project management skills, with ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, including proof reading experience with strong attention to detail.
Advanced use of word processing, database and spreadsheet applications.
Team player with strong customer service orientation .
