WAREHOUSE & SHIPPING MANAGER

Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial chemical products, is seeking a leader for their warehouse and shipping operations in the Los Angeles, CA area. They are seeking an experienced manager to be responsible for finished and in-process goods inventories, as well as shipments to customers.

This highly visible position is ideal for an experienced warehouse and logistics professional who is seeking a high profile opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the efficiency and productivity of the company's materials handling operations.

This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Oversee all warehouse, as well as shipping and receiving operations.
Develop and implement programs and procedures to ensure acceptable shipments to customers.
Oversee interdepartmental programs to assure coordinated efforts to meet customers' shipping requirements.
Develop procedures to assure that inventory targets are met
Implement procedures for tracking shipping performance.
Develop and implement safety stock standards, rolling inventory programs, and cycle count standards to minimize or eliminate physical inventories.
REQUIREMENTS
BS or BA degree
10+ years experience
10+ years experience in warehouse management
Knowledge of inventory management and materials handling
Experience with transportation and traffic
Knowledge of warehouse inventory control systems
