THIS IS A 3rd SHIFT OPPORTUNITY! EXEMPT LEVEL POSITION!

Responsible for supervising warehouse functions to insure the efficient utilization
of facilities for storing and distributing product inventory.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

Under general direction, supervises warehouse functions including receiving, sorting, storing, picking, packing and shipping of products, handling of warehouse stock and returned goods. Coordinates the return of defective materials.

Accountable for general supervisory responsibilities, including appraisal of employee performance and recommendation of salary adjustments according to company guidelines.

Administers employee development and disciplinary issues. Requests staff level changes within company guidelines.

Interviews and recommends selection of job candidates. Establishes work priorities and delegates work assignments for optimum use of employees and equipment.

Provides training to employees in the performance of job responsibilities as well as company and department policies and procedures.

Reviews work of department staff for quality and accuracy.

Approves hours worked and overtime expenses.

Coordinates and may participate in periodic and special inventory counts, and supervises the reconciliation of book inventories with physical counts.

Supervises the accurate computation of freight charges. Insures warehouse documentation is accurate, orders are filled and products and shipped on a timely basis. May perform the job duties of warehouse workers during peak periods or staff shortages to assure prompt shipment of products.

Notifies manager of problems with equipment, facilities and security, as well as defective materials received from suppliers and customers. May assist in supervising the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment.

Prepares and submits periodic department status reports to management.

Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills are required.
The ability to meet deadlines also required.
Knowledge of and the ability to train employees in forklift operations may be required.
